MY STORY
Margarita Williams
I am a Hebridean artist, and graduate of Glasgow School of Art.
My work in watercolour is inspired by the unique lanscape, sea, and wild flowers of Harris, Lewis and St Kilda, I live in the remote village of Quidinish (Cuidhtinis) where I was born. A Gaelic speaker, I welcome you to my Studio Gallery, Holmasaig.

RESPONDING TO A UNIQUE LANDSCAPE
Using media to express feelings and observations
I love to experient with media to respond to the amazing varied landscape of the outer Hebrides, particularly Harris.
It is watercolour that I return to most often as I enjoy the free flow of the medium, the ability it offords to capture light and the fleeting changes of weather. Japanese woodblock printing, Indian ink work as well as Acrylic painting on canvas, are among up to 200 original works on view at the gallery.
