Margarita Williams D.A. who was born in Quidinish, (Cuidhtinis) Isle of Harris, studied drawing, painting and textiles at Glasgow school of Art . Her work using dyes in textile design led to her interest in using the transparent medium of watercolour. Mixed media techniques feature in her recent work. She lives in her home village painting the changing light on the surrounding landscape, sea, crofting environment and the wild flowers.
Margarita is a Gaelic speaker who is happy to converse in the language.
